Kenan and Kel Reunite for Frankenstein Horror-Comedy

Movieweb reports that Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell are reuniting to star in and produce Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein, a horror-comedy that will pair the duo with an iconic monster and is set to begin filming this summer.

The pair announced the project at the end of Prime Video's Good Sports on Tuesday night, where Mitchell was guest-hosting in Kevin Hart's absence. In a statement, Thompson said, "Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together, and this project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected. We're excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it." Mitchell added, "Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. It's funny, it's scary, and it's a great ride."

The duo are best known for the '90s sitcom Kenan & Kel and Nickelodeon's Good Burger franchise, which the report says may be getting a threequel. Cameras are due to start rolling this summer, and more to come...
