KPop Demon Hunters Arena Tour Could Be in the Works
After KPop Demon Hunters’ success and its trio of k-pop divas appearing on late-night shows and awards stages, a concert tour has emerged as the next logical step. Netflix is in talks to produce a global concert series based on the film, with negotiations aimed at staging an arena tour in venues that hold 10,000 to 20,000 fans.
Those plans are not finalized and could fall through if Netflix scraps the project to save cash or if creative ideas don’t come together. Promoters have offered “tens of millions of dollars in upfront guarantees,” but no deal has been signed. The format of the show remains unsettled.
Many fans would likely want Ejae, Audrey Nana, and Rei Ami to perform songs from the film live, but Netflix is also considering virtual elements such as holograms of the main trio, and it seems unlikely the actual performers would be at every stop. Talent agency WME has floated a tour featuring all three singers that might not be presented under the KPop Demon Hunters banner.
