KPop Demon Hunters FYC screening with directors' Q&A and poster signing
Collider is teaming up with Netflix to host an FYC theatrical screening of KPop Demon Hunters in Los Angeles, featuring a behind-the-scenes Q&A with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and a post-screening poster signing.
The animated feature, described in the announcement as Netflix’s most popular movie of all time, is officially nominated for two Academy Awards: Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. The film follows Rumi, Mira, and Zoey — members of K-pop trio HUNTR/X (voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami) — as they balance superstardom and demon hunting while facing new threats including the Saja Boys and the villain Gwi-ma; the Oscar-nominated song “Golden” is among the chart-topping tunes highlighted.
If you’re in the Los Angeles area, the screening is scheduled for Monday, February 16th at Netflix on Vine in Hollywood, with the film beginning at 7:00 p.m. All guests will receive free popcorn and water, and the Q&A with Kang and Appelhans will be moderated by Steve Weintraub; the directors will sign posters for attendees after the session.
To win free tickets, entrants must follow the provided link to submit an email address and RSVP, and may indicate if they plan to bring a guest.
