Taylor Sheridan's Landman Sustains Streaming Momentum Ahead of Season 3
Taylor Sheridan's 2024 oil drama Landman, starring Billy Bob Thornton, has become one of his most successful shows, breaking records for Paramount+ and remaining a strong performer globally. FlixPatrol shows the series appearing on top-ten charts across platforms from Prime Video to iTunes and SkyShowtime, even though nearly three months have passed since a new episode aired.
The show’s reception is mixed: Season 2 holds an 83% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes but a 47% audience rating. Jeff Ewing praised the season’s direction while noting a common viewer complaint: "Angela is an interesting source of positivity and intensity — and Larter is regularly solid and always watchable in the role — but changes relatively little, while daughter Ainsley doesn't meaningfully evolve at all." He added that "Season 2 of Landman is ultimately showing signs of more promise after its first three episodes." Landman has been renewed for a third season but has not set a premiere date.
