High-profile Sydney Chinese woman Lanlan Yang has pleaded not guilty to two additional charges over the crash of a $1.5m Rolls‑Royce SUV in Sydney’s east in July, after admitting to breaching her bail last week. Yang, 23, was accused of driving the vehicle when it collided with a Mercedes driven by George Plassaras, a driver for FM radio host Kyle Sandilands, on New South Head Road in Rose Bay on 26 July.

Plassaras was left with severe injuries. Yang had already pleaded not guilty in November to four charges, including refusing or failing to submit to breath analysis; dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – driving in a dangerous manner; not giving particulars to police; and negligent driving (occasioning grievous bodily harm).

Last week prosecutors launched two new charges: dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – driving under the influence, and driving with middle range prescribed concentration of alcohol (PCA). The Downing Centre local court on Friday heard Yang pleaded not guilty to those two charges and she was excused from appearing.

Last Friday Yang attended court in person and admitted breaching her bail conditions by failing to update her address; her lawyer Michael Korn applied for a bail review. Yang’s first in‑person appearance was last Friday; she had previously appeared via video at her first hearing and was excused from appearing at the following three hearings last year.
