Laporta: Camp Nou mostly complete by end of 2026, roof delay to 2027

Joan Laporta has voiced frustration over delays to the Camp Nou renovation, saying most work should be finished by the end of 2026 but the 360-degree roof will push the final handover into 2027. "It’s something that’s really upsetting me," he said, adding that "everything should be completed by the end of 2026, and then the roof will be added in 2027." Administrative hold-ups over safety permits have stalled the planned reopening of the North Stand and the 1957 Supporters’ Stand, which the club expected to welcome fans back immediately after the winter break.

"The problem is that it was supposed to be ready by the first week of January; it’s February now, and we still haven’t received the permits for the North Stand and the Supporters’ Stand, the 1957 Stand," he said.
