Today, January 30, 2026, is the final day to buy Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers. Subscribers to Nintendo Switch Online can still purchase two coupons for $100 that can be used on two full-price digital Switch games typically priced at $60 each, saving $20. Nintendo announced in July it would end the voucher scheme alongside the launch of the Switch 2, saying vouchers would not be valid for Switch 2 games as prices for new titles drift toward $70 and $80.

Nintendo also said vouchers bought would remain valid for a full year after purchase. If you buy vouchers today, they will remain usable until January 30, 2027, making this the last guaranteed way to lock in discounted full-price Switch purchases for the next year. Nintendo Life was thanked for flagging the deadline.

The vouchers apply to a wide range of first-party Switch titles, including recent and upcoming releases named in coverage such as Metroid Prime 4, the April 16 release Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, and the $70 Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Nintendo has also removed its gold coins system that gave roughly 5¢ per dollar spent, and the company has not offered new Switch 2 incentives; why those changes were made is unknown.
