Laura Woods shares graphic images of 2024 holiday injuries and ongoing treatment

According to Goal, TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods has shared graphic images on Instagram showing the facial and arm injuries she suffered during a 2024 holiday accident.

Woods posted candid operating-theatre photos after a glass lampshade shattered when she swung a pillow above her head at a holiday cottage with partner Adam Collard, showering her in shards and causing deep lacerations that she said "ended up going down to the bone" and "somehow missed my eye." The wounds required urgent specialist surgery, and she withdrew from TNT Sports' coverage of the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk fight in May 2024.

Woods and Collard drove five hours to London for reconstructive treatment; she returned to screens weeks later for the 2024 Champions League final and soon after discovered she was almost five weeks pregnant with her son, Leo. She has said she remains "very conscious" of the scars and is undergoing a course of "big f laser" to improve their appearance, describing the procedure as painful, expensive and that it "Looked like I had been put in a toaster."
