Lautaro Martinez dreams of Racing return, trying to 'convince' wife
Lautaro Martinez remains a cornerstone of Inter, but his heart still beats strongly for Racing Club. He left Argentina in 2018 to join the Nerazzurri after scoring 27 goals in 62 appearances for Racing, and he has been one of Serie A's most clinical finishers, netting 18 goals and providing four assists across all competitions as Inter built an eight-point lead over AC Milan.
Speaking during an interview with Racing Radio, Martinez said the move would depend on more than football and involve his family life. "Returning to Racing is my dream: I'm trying to convince my wife, and she supports me. Obviously, it depends on many things, family-related but also how I feel physically.
But my dream is to return to Racing for at least a year, I don't know when." Tied to Inter until the summer of 2029, he also spoke about his ongoing commitment to the Italian club and his hopes for the future. "I still have three years left on my contract with Inter.
