Lego opens pre-orders for the Luigi & Mach 8 Mario Kart set

On Mario Day (March 10), Lego opened pre-orders for the Luigi & Mach 8 set, priced at $179.99. The kit has a listed release date of April 1.

The set features the Mach 8 race car with Luigi in the driver’s seat, sits on a buildable stand and totals 2,234 pieces. It’s aimed at adults, though there’s nothing stopping you from building it with enthusiastic assistants.

This Luigi set would pair well with the Mario & Standard Kart, and the release gives Luigi a chance to step away from his usual supporting role.
