Lego rumored to release $260 Poké Ball display set in August 2026
Leaker Brick Clicker claims Lego is planning a large Pokémon set built around a Poké Ball that opens to reveal an interior diorama. The leak places this release alongside the return of Spongebob sets and a Dragon Ball Shenron display slated for 2026. Last year Lego reclaimed the Pokémon license from Mega Bloks, and the first wave of sets revealed in January were noted for their design but also for steep price tags.
That premium pricing has continued to draw scrutiny, with comparisons to Mega Bloks making the scale of the price increases difficult to justify; Lego appears to be emphasizing large, adult-oriented “18+” display builds. Details in the leak give the Poké Ball set the number 72154 and list it as a 2,239-piece build due August 1, 2026, priced at $260.
Brick Clicker also says the set will include minifigures and pre-molded Pokémon, and that the assembled ball will open to reveal the diorama inside.
