Lenovo unveils new laptops and rollable concepts at CES 2026
Lenovo announced more than a dozen new computers at CES 2026, including laptops, desktops, all-in-one PCs, minis and several proof-of-concept devices. ZDNET highlighted five new models that stood out, ranging from redesigned ThinkPad and ThinkBook machines to multiple rollable-display concepts.
A major theme was repairability, reflected in the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 Aura Edition. Lenovo's "space frame" design places hardware components on both sides of the motherboard to enable easier replacement of parts such as USB ports, the battery, keyboard, speakers and fans, and earned a 9 out of 10 repairability score from iFixit.
Lenovo said the model is powered by Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processors, raises sustained power to 30W, and offers LPDDR5x RAM at 9600 MHz. The ZDNET author said they were "thrilled" to see the design on a flagship product. Lenovo also showed several rollable or extendable displays as concepts.
The Legion Pro Rollable is a gaming proof-of-concept whose OLED display expands horizontally from 16 inches to 21.5 inches and then to 24 inches, with modes named Focus, Tactical and Arena. The device is conceptual with no guarantee of retail availability; according to Lenovo it is based on the Legion Pro 7i and thus could house an Intel Core Ultra processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and support Nvidia's DLSS 4.
