Leon Kennedy actor urges Code Veronica remake after Requiem
Capcom has settled into a steady cycle of new releases and remakes, and after Resident Evil Requiem the next move could well be another revisit. Actor Nick Apostolides, who plays Leon Kennedy, said he would like to see Code Veronica remade. "I would like to see a Code Veronica get remade because that, to me, was a very challenging game," Apostolides said.
"But the story of it was just so wild and weird, and I think if they did it in today's RE Engine with today's storytelling and grounded acting, I think that would be one hell of a game." With the big titles like RE2 and RE4 already refreshed, a Veronica remake could help both new and longtime fans access a standout chapter of the series.
"To see that game in the RE Engine, oh wow. If they announce that, I think fans are going to go ballistic." He also praised the series' recent direction: "Where I would like to see the series go is just to continue on the same path. Since Biohazard, around that time when they really shifted their gears.
