Leonardo DiCaprio will not attend the 2026 Actor Awards on Sunday because he is filming in Europe. He is on set with Martin Scorsese’s new project, "What Happens at Night," opposite Jennifer Lawrence; the pair play a married American couple who travel to a small European town to adopt a baby.

The movie is adapted from the novel by Peter Cameron. DiCaprio will miss the March 1 ceremony where he is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for "One Battle After Another." His competitors include Michael B. Jordan for "Sinners," Timothée Chalamet for "Marty Supreme," Ethan Hawke for "Blue Moon" and Jesse Plemons for "Bugonia." He has already won Best Actor at the 2026 National Board of Review Awards Gala.
