Lilo & Stitch 2 Sets May 26, 2028 Release Date

Disney enjoyed a strong 2025 at the box office, with animated hits and live-action reimaginings among its top earners. The live-action Lilo & Stitch premiered on May 23, 2025 after a $100 million investment and went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the first film of the year to hit that mark before being surpassed by Zootopia 2.

The studio has now scheduled the live-action sequel for release on May 26, 2028. Chris Sanders will return to reprise Stitch and to write the film, and Maia Keoloha is confirmed to return as Lilo. With animation, visual effects and scheduling still to be completed, audiences will wait roughly three years between films.

In related scheduling, Incredibles 3 is set to premiere less than a month later on June 16, 2028.
