Lily Allen wears receipt-print wrap on West End Girl tour
Lily Allen kicked off her West End Girl tour at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, performing material from the David Harbour breakup album in a string of costume-driven numbers. For “4Chan Stan,” she wrapped herself in a long swath of fabric printed with handwritten lyrics and receipts from tequila bars and Bergdorf Goodman — a direct nod to a lyric about a pricey handbag.
The pop star opened the show in a Valentino pink tweed suit and later wore the receipt-print “dress” over a custom Self-Portrait ruffled sheer lace bodysuit, burgundy patent hot pants, an Agent Provocateur bra, Calzedonia fishnet tights and Christian Louboutin pumps.
Styling was led by Mel Ottenberg, who wrote on Instagram that Allen “got me out of tour styling retirement 20 years after I first styled her,” with makeup by Aimée Twist and hairstyling by Ross Kwan, who sculpted a bouffant with bangs.
