Lindsey Vonn's Dog Leo Died a Day After Her Olympics Crash
Over the past month, alpine skier Lindsey Vonn underwent multiple surgeries after her crash at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, and she also lost one of her dogs, Leo, the day after the accident. The Swiss Shepherd mix died after a battle with lung cancer on February 9, 2026.
Vonn shared a 20-photo and video Instagram tribute and wrote, 'Leo has passed away.' She noted he was born in 2013 and said he had been recently diagnosed with lung cancer after surviving lymphoma a year and a half earlier; his heart began failing and he was in pain.
Leo loved the snow and appears in several clips rolling and playing in it.
