Live-Action How to Train Your Dragon Arrives on Netflix US February 10, 2026
Collider reports the live-action How to Train Your Dragon will be available to stream on Netflix US starting February 10, 2026.
Written and directed by Dean DeBlois, the film premiered at CinemaCon on April 2, 2025, and opened in the US on June 13, 2025; it later landed on Peacock and became a streaming sensation. The cast includes Gerard Butler, Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gabriel Howell, Julian Dennison, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Peter Serafinowicz and Nick Frost. The 2025 film earned $636.4 million worldwide and holds a Certified Fresh 77% score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest-grossing entry in the franchise and the eighth-highest-grossing film of last year.
The Netflix date applies only to the US; other regions will likely pick up the movie eventually. The streaming move follows the current deal between Universal Pictures and Netflix, under which titles stream on Peacock in a Pay-1A window, then move to Netflix for a 10-month Pay-1B window before returning to Peacock — Peacock began streaming How to Train Your Dragon on October 10, 2025.
