LONGITUDE Recap: Bitcoin's Quantum Risk, CLARITY Act and AGI Prep — Cointelegraph.com News

At the LONGITUDE conference in Hong Kong, co-hosted by OneBullEx on Feb. 12, Tron founder Justin Sun opened the event by urging the industry to prepare for artificial general intelligence. "We need to create a very easy standard for AGI to use blockchain," he said, expressing optimism about the sector’s future.

Panels that followed examined the quantum computing threat to Bitcoin, the potential impact of the US CLARITY Act, and progress toward trillion-dollar crypto infrastructure. Despite a volatile market at the end of 2025, participants remained broadly optimistic.

Debate over quantum risk was sharp. Charles Edwards argued the risk should be priced into Bitcoin "until it’s solved," noting quantum became a "non-zero threat" and that US-based Bitcoin ETF issuers began adding risk disclaimers.
