One of Obsidian's ideas for Fallout: New Vegas that was cut for time would have let players keep playing after the ending slideshow, sidequesting across a Mojave Wasteland that reflected their main-campaign decisions. Modders restored a version of that concept a while back, and now there's a closer look at what Obsidian originally planned.

Restored lines reveal different outcomes: if you pursue independence for New Vegas the King calls it "a new golden age," the Brotherhood of Steel takes over the Helios One power plant and Yes Man grows less obsequious, and putting Mr House in charge leaves you your apartment at the Lucky 38 while Lily the nightkin says she's "so proud of her little angel."

Those lines are being brought back by the Post-Game Dialogue Restored mod, a work in progress that requires the Functional Post Game Ending mod to make use of.
