Lounge access transformed travel with my kids

I love traveling, but bringing my kids through busy airports used to be a struggle: they became overstimulated by the crowds and noise, and I frequently blew my budget on overpriced snacks. I assumed lounges were only for First Class travelers, but discovered some premium travel credit cards include a Priority Pass membership valued at around $470, which opens access to more than 1,800 lounges worldwide and often lets members bring two guests — ideal for my family of three.

I finally opened a new Chase credit card with a high annual fee, but the cost is offset by a $300 annual statement credit for travel-related charges that I used on plane tickets and another $300 annual credit for StubHub purchases. I expect to recoup more through dining and Lyft credits, on top of usual perks like travel insurance and no foreign transaction fees.

Having lounge access has quietly saved our travel days.
