Sydney Sweeney's R-rated thriller The Housemaid, which co-starred Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar, earned $390 million worldwide and surged to the top of Apple TV's digital charts. Its run at number one has now been ended by an unlikely successor. That successor is Luc Besson's Dracula, the director's 2025 remake of one of the most iconic fantasy novels of all time.

The film flopped in theaters last year, grossing $42 million, but it has climbed to the top spot on the streaming platform and is drawing renewed attention. Besson's take departs from Bram Stoker's epistolary novel and plays as an origin story: after his wife's death a prince renounces God, is cursed to live forever and sets out to retrieve his lost love, while a relentless priest pursues him.

The cast includes Christoph Waltz, Caleb Landry Jones, Zoe Bleu, Matilda De Angelis and Raphael Luce. The film has divided opinion, holding a 53% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 82% audience score.
