Mack Hollins’s Red Jumpsuit Stood Out in the Super Bowl Tunnel Walk
New England Patriots wide receiver Mack Hollins arrived at Levi’s Stadium in a red jumpsuit with “Range 13” printed on the back, his hands and bare feet shackled and his face covered in a Hannibal Lecter–style mask. He carried a high school jersey from Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and later put it on during warm-ups; his Patriots number is 13, and the outfit appeared to reference a Colorado “supermax.” Fans have come to expect theatrical arrivals from Hollins.
He has shown up in costumes ranging from Fred Flintstone to Animal from the Muppets and a character from the movie The Warriors, and he is known for never wearing shoes. Hollins had not commented by kickoff, and it remained unclear whether he intended a specific statement, a boast about his play, or simply a dramatic entrance.
Whatever the intent, his look made him an outlier among the tunnel arrivals.
