Makeup-free Scarlett Johansson spotted on set of new 'The Exorcist' in NYC

Scarlett Johansson was photographed filming the forthcoming 'Exorcist' reboot alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor in New York City. She appeared without makeup and looked worried as she engaged in a tense conversation with Ejiofor outside a building cordoned off with yellow police tape.

Johansson, 41, wore a red button-up shirt, jeans, a coat and sneakers, while Ejiofor, 48, wore a gray coat and pants. Both were surrounded by police officer extras; Johansson kept her head down as she walked and smiled between takes. Her character is a mother, with Jacobi Jupe cast as her on-screen son.

Flanagan said in a statement released in November that Johansson is a brilliant actress whose performances feel grounded and real, and that he couldn’t be happier to have her join the film. The movie, due in March 2027, also stars Carla Gugino, Diana Lane, John Leguizamo and Hamish Linklater.
