Kotaku reports that 35-year-old William Gregory allegedly broke into a family home in the Beltzhoover neighborhood outside Pittsburgh, claimed to be an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent and threatened a 17-year-old while trying to steal electronics.

According to a recently filed criminal complaint and local news station WTAE 4, Gregory carried a large pocket knife, demanded the reportedly Hispanic family show identifying paperwork, grabbed the boy’s phone and attempted to take a PlayStation console (the outlet did not specify the model). The teenager fought back and punched Gregory in the face hard enough to render him unconscious; police later arrived and found the intruder still unconscious.

Police charged Gregory with ethnic intimidation and burglary; he is in jail and was wanted on a prior robbery charge. Neighbor Crystal Calloway told WTAE 4 she believed the home was Hispanic and said she was worried about someone pretending to be ICE. The article also referenced other incidents involving people claiming to be ICE agents and noted a January 7 fatal shooting of Renée Good by ICE agent Johnathan Ross, which federal officials say involved Good hitting the officer with her car—a claim that many news agencies and experts who have seen the footage dispute.
