Man City plan summer move for Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro
Manchester City are preparing a summer approach for Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro as they seek a specialist to replace Kyle Walker. With Spurs embroiled in a relegation battle, City would be ready to capitalise on any mass exodus by bringing the Spaniard back to the Etihad.
Porro has been one of the division’s most productive full-backs this season, registering one goal and five assists in 37 appearances while remaining a key creative outlet amid Tottenham’s struggles. City originally signed him from Girona for around £11 million in 2019, but he never made a competitive appearance, spending time on loan at Real Valladolid and Sporting CP before moving to Lisbon permanently in 2022.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke said Man City have long held an interest in Porro and are well acquainted with his career, but added his departure could become unavoidable if Spurs were relegated. Another Spurs asset attracting attention is Lucas Bergvall, with Chelsea monitoring the midfielder’s situation.
