Manchester United's bid to reach a fourth-straight Women's FA Cup final ended as they fell 2-1 to Chelsea after extra time in their fifth-round tie. Phallon Tullis-Joyce produced several outstanding saves but could not keep out strikes from Sam Kerr and Naomi Girma, and Simi Awujo's equaliser was not enough to spark a comeback.

Chelsea largely dominated early on, with Tullis-Joyce denying Alyssa Thompson, Erin Cuthbert and Lauren James, while Jess Park forced Hannah Hampton into a scrambling stop before blasting a chance over. United grew into the game after the break; Melvine Malard had a header cleared off the line by Veerle Buurman and Park's 25-yard effort struck the post.

Substitute Kerr eventually put Chelsea ahead by hooking a bouncing ball into the bottom corner, only for Awujo to level three minutes later by poking home amid a scramble in the box and force extra time.
