Marathon adds Cryo Archive, nerfs WSTR shotgun and adjusts audio

Cryo Archive, Marathon’s fourth map, has been added in update 1.0.5 but isn’t yet accessible: “Cryo Archive has been added to the game. Good luck getting there.” Community secret hunters are working on puzzles in and out of the game that are supposed to unlock the map.

Entry into Cryo will be stricter than for the other maps. To gain access you must reach runner Level 25, have all six factions unlocked (liaison contracts completed), and have a loadout value of 5,000 credits per run. The first two requirements are a non-issue for anyone who’s played a decent amount of Marathon, but the 5k loadout cutoff forces significant risk and means you can’t enter without valuable guns or mods—Cryo Archive can’t be played with a sponsored kit or as Rook unless the lone bot gets a special exception.

Patch 1.0.5 also makes several balance changes. The Opportunist mod now has an activation cooldown, ending the infinite WSTR shotgun combo.
