Marathon roadmap: All upcoming updates

Bungie has released a roadmap for Marathon that lays out seasonal updates through November, promising new playable classes, weapons, maps and other additions. The game will compete with Embark's Arc Raiders in the extraction genre. The roadmap covers the first three seasons.

Season 1: First Step (March–June) will add the Cryo Archive map, Ranked mode, a C.A.R.R.I. event, a new gun, new implants and a mid‑season balance patch. Season 2: Nightfall (June–August) brings Night Marsh, a Dire Marsh nighttime variant, a new Sentinel Shell, 'The Cradle' upgrade/build system, plus new guns, mods and enemies.

Bungie has revealed only Season 3's window (August–November); its contents are unrevealed, though expectations mentioned include new events, weapons, other gear to earn and potentially a new map or Runner. Seasons last about three months and are intended to shake up the extraction loop with new gear, upgrade trees and activities, all free of charge.
