Marathon-themed limited edition DualSense controller revealed

Kotaku reports that buried in Bungie's Marathon launch info dump is news that the sci-fi shooter will arrive alongside a Marathon‑inspired limited edition PlayStation 5 DualSense controller.

The controller is priced at $85 and goes up for pre-order on January 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time at direct.playstation.com. An accompanying Pulse Elite wireless headset will be available at the same time for $170; the writer said they have never loved the look of the Pulse headset and that the Marathon aesthetic does not change that.

The piece praised the Marathon DualSense for its generally subtle, clean design, saying the typography and icons mesh neatly with the controller's underlying sensibility and noting that the only branded text is hidden in neon on the underside.

The author compared the controller favorably to recent limited editions such as Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei, said they think it looks better than the Concord controller, and suggested it will "probably" be as rare as that one while adding they hope it is not if Marathon performs poorly.
