March Madness for stocks: Vote in Elite 8 bracket

The AI revolution has minted a new generation of scorching-hot tech stocks known as the Magnificent 7. In honor of NCAA March Madness, we’re running a bracket to crown which company stands above the rest, with honorary entrant Palantir joining the seven market leaders.

Seeding was done strictly by market cap, producing matchups with strong narratives. The first vote is (1) Nvidia vs (8) Palantir — AI king vs AI cult favorite — and voting is open now. Other matchups spotlight different themes: (4) Microsoft vs (5) Amazon is a battle of cloud empires — Azure vs AWS, Microsoft’s AI-forward business and deep OpenAI partnership against Amazon’s AI-infrastructure platform (voting opens March 18).

(2) Apple vs (7) Tesla pits a hardware icon against a visionary disrupter, with Apple pursuing AI partnerships and Tesla pivoting toward AI and robotaxis (voting opens March 23).
