Marshals premiere returns Kayce Dutton to the field
Fifteen months after Yellowstone’s finale, Kayce Dutton is a changed man. He and his son Tate live on Yellowstone East Camp after selling the rest of the ranch to the Broken Rock Indian Reservation, and Kayce is still grieving the deaths of his father, brothers and his wife, Monica, who died of cancer.
An old SEAL brother, now U.S. Marshal Pete "Cal" Calvin, offers Kayce a place on his team and piques his interest when he learns fugitives have been preying on Rez women. Kayce rides out with Marshals Belle Skinner, Miles Kittle and Andrea Cruz, helps trap the outlaws and begins to find a new role among the team.
Tensions flare at a mine rally where tribal chairman Thomas Rainwater warns the project will worsen cancer rates by affecting the river. Kayce spots a possible triggerman and Belle finds an unmarked bag, but a homemade explosive still detonates and Rainwater is caught in the crossfire.
