Marty Supreme Becomes A24's Highest-Grossing Domestic Release
Movieweb reports that Variety says Marty Supreme has grossed $80 million over the Jan. 16–18 weekend, making it A24's highest-grossing film at the domestic box office.
Directed by Josh Safdie and starring Timothée Chalamet, Marty Supreme opened in a limited release on Dec. 19, 2025, expanded wide on Christmas Day and earned $27.3 million over the four-day holiday weekend. The film reached the A24 domestic record in 32 days, surpassing Everything Everywhere All At Once's $77 million total, and has a 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 296 reviews after glowing notices at the New York Film Festival.
Worldwide, Marty Supreme has earned $97 million but has only been released in select international markets; Everything Everywhere All At Once remains A24's worldwide leader at $142 million, with Civil War at $124 million. The film is expected to open in more markets following the Academy Award nominations on Jan. 22, 2025, where it is expected to be a major contender, and industry attention — including Timothée Chalamet emerging as a Best Actor frontrunner — could produce an Oscar bump that helps it reach $100 million domestically; the film carries a $75 million budget, making it A24's most expensive production.
