Marvel drops new Wonder Man trailer ahead of Disney+ debut
Marvel Studios released a new trailer for Wonder Man, its eight-episode miniseries arriving on Disney+ later this month.
The series is part of the MCU’s Phase Six and was created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, with Guest serving as showrunner.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, an actor and stunt performer who actually has superpowers and auditions for the lead in a rebooted superhero TV series.
The cast also includes Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother Eric (the Grim Reaper), Ed Harris as Simon’s agent Neal Saroyan, and Arian Moayed as P, an agent with the Department of Damage Control. Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Bechir Sylvain, and Manny McCord appear in undisclosed roles.
Ben Kingsley returns to the MCU as Trevor Slattery, a character first seen in Iron Man 3 and later in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Marvel previously released a one-minute teaser before New York Comic Con and a full trailer at the convention. The new trailer repackages some of that footage and shows Simon being asked to sign a form saying he has no superpowers — a problem, since his powers emerge under audition stress, prompting the Department of Damage Control to label him an "extraordinary threat."
Wonder Man premieres on Disney+ on January 27, 2026.
