Mateta medical complications put Milan move in doubt as Jacquet and Disasi face tests

Liverpool’s deal for Jacquet is reported as £60m (£55m plus £5m in add‑ons). The 20‑year‑old Rennes defender is due to have his medical this morning, after which he will return to Rennes and join Liverpool in the summer. The Guardian says Jacquet is expected to be the only incoming at Anfield today, and that Liverpool had tried to sign Lutsharel Geertruida on loan but that move is off.

West Ham and Chelsea are in talks over Axel Disasi, with the transfer described as heading in the right direction but it remains to be seen whether the player will choose the London Stadium; he is set to undergo a medical before a loan move.
