Mathew Knowles questions Tina Knowles' role during PIX11 interview

Mathew Knowles sat down with PIX 11 anchor Kendis Gibson on "Kandid with Kendis" to promote his Destiny's Child tribute concert. When Gibson praised Tina Knowles' contributions, Knowles asked, "What work did she put in?" Gibson reminded him "the hair," and Knowles responded, "Ok, you’re absolutely right, and the styling.

The imaging. You’re right." Gibson then said, "It’s a joint effort," and stood to end the interview: "We’ll stop now." Afterward, Mathew said Gibson arrived 15 minutes late and pressed him about Tina when the interview was supposed to be about the tribute; he said he politely ended the interview, shook Gibson's hand and took a photograph.

An insider disputed that account, saying Gibson arrived on time, the crew was early to set up, and that Gibson had been "giving them their flowers" and praising the group's work. A PIX 11 spokesperson did not comment. Mathew and Tina Knowles divorced in 2011 after 31 years of marriage.
