Mavericks visit Knicks in MLK Day rematch with 5 p.m. ET tipoff
Nbc reports the network will present a first-of-its-kind quadrupleheader on Monday, January 19, highlighted by the Dallas Mavericks visiting the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Tipoff for the Mavericks‑Knicks game is set for 5 p.m. ET and will air live on the network with a simulcast on Peacock. The teams met once already this season on November 19 in Dallas, a 113-111 Knicks victory in which Jalen Brunson scored 28 points and hit a game‑icing free throw; Brunson has been listed day-to-day on an otherwise healthy Knicks squad. The Mavericks have been juggling multiple injuries that pushed all but one of their starters onto the day-to-day report, including Cooper Flagg (ankle sprain on January 14) and P.J. Washington (ankle issues), and the report notes the sustained absence of All-Star Anthony Davis, who continues to sit out with a left hand injury.
The Mavericks‑Knicks game is one of four matchups in the January 19 lineup: Milwaukee vs. Atlanta at 1 p.m. ET (Peacock streaming exclusive), Oklahoma City vs. Cleveland at 2:30 p.m. ET (network and Peacock), Dallas vs. New York at 5 p.m. ET (network and Peacock), and Boston vs. Detroit at 8 p.m. ET (network and Peacock). Availability of Brunson and the multiple day-to-day Mavericks starters remains uncertain heading into the rematch.
