Maya Jama and Ruben Dias burglary raises fears of insiders tipping off thieves

The couple’s Alderley Edge mansion was ransacked while both were away: Dias was at the Etihad Stadium for City’s Champions League match with Galatasaray and Jama is in South Africa filming the latest series of Love Island All‑Stars.

Fellow top‑flight performers fear an insider is betraying players, noting that many use the same barbers, car services, estate agents, removal men and builders. Police are investigating the break‑in at the reported £4 million property, with goods stolen claimed to be worth over £1 million, including designer watches, jewellery, handbags and clothes.
