Collider reports that Netflix will add Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown to its U.S. streaming library in 2026 under a new licensing deal with Paramount, marking the first time a Taylor Sheridan series will stream on Netflix. The move was disclosed in Netflix’s fourth-quarter earnings letter, which said the streamer is adding a slate of Paramount-owned series including SEAL Team, Watson, and Mayor of Kingstown.

Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos addressed the deal on the earnings call, saying, "We have a new slate of licensed titles from Paramount which is going to bring a lot of new series, shows that Netflix has never had around the world," and added that Netflix will continue expanding its licensed offerings throughout 2026.

The Jeremy Renner-led Mayor of Kingstown is heading toward its fifth and final season, with production on the final series set to begin imminently, the outlet said. Renner reacted on social media, writing, "Season 5. Rebirth. Renewed, here we go. Back to work this year, we're excited, and I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone, and I love you," and later adding in a caption, "I find myself in deep gratitude this gorgeous morning.
