McDonald’s Gives Bowser Jr. Two Super Mario Galaxy Kids Meal Toys

Looking back, I feel like kids’ meal toys were my first gacha experience. McDonald’s next set of toys stars the heroes and villains of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The collection includes 12 toys, most representing different characters, but Mario and Bowser Jr. each get two figures. Mario appears in his standard red-and-blue outfit and again in a white-and-red look after a Fire Flower transformation.

Bowser Jr. shows up in his default form and in a distorted Wonder look from Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It’s a surprise to see Bowser Jr. doubled when several characters with alternate movie forms received only one toy.

Each toy comes with a personalized stand featuring a different background for display. McDonald’s will start offering the Super Mario Galaxy toys next week on March 26, just days before the movie premieres in theaters on April 1.
