Mediaite has launched a newsletter called One Sheet that aggregates reporting from other media newsletters and sites. It debuted on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, as a daily email intended to cut through the growing number of media newsletters.

One Sheet aims to compile scoops, gossip and analysis from dozens of newsletters, Substacks and websites. A recent sample included items from subscription-only newsletters like Puck and Status; Substack writers such as Emily Sundberg; conservative sites including NewsBusters; and outlets like Page Six and the Columbia Journalism Review. The newsletter is written by Mediaite editor Colby Hall and is expected to be published on weekdays at 11 a.m. Subscriptions cost $8 a month or $80 a year.

Mediaite’s founder, Dan Abrams, acknowledged the project’s circular nature, saying, "There is definitely a level of meta here," and adding, "We are overwhelmed." He also noted he hoped One Sheet would expose readers to sources they might not otherwise know about, saying, "We're not trying to take away newsletter business, we’re trying to highlight the ones that are most interesting."

Some media reporters have recently launched independent, reader-supported sites and many Substack writers charge for access. It is not known whether One Sheet will affect the revenue of those newsletter writers or how they will respond to being aggregated.
