Since stepping away from royal duties in March 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have launched multiple business ventures and faced a string of setbacks. Their lifestyle brand As Ever lost its Netflix tie in 2026, and several other projects have stalled or underperformed.

Meghan’s children’s book The Bench debuted in June 2021 but failed to reach the UK Official Top 50 and later peaked at No. 100 on Amazon US after reportedly receiving a nearly $700,000 advance. In 2023 the couple’s $20 million Spotify deal ended when their Archetypes podcast did not return for a second season; Spotify executives said the project had not met expectations and some public criticism followed.

Meghan reworked her American Riviera Orchard brand into As Ever in February 2025 amid trademark problems, rejected filings and logo objections.
