Meghan Trainor says her sons chose newborn daughter's middle name

People reports that Meghan Trainor said her sons helped pick the middle name of her newborn daughter, Mikey Moon Trainor, who was born via surrogate on Jan. 18, 2026.

Trainor, 32, and her husband Daryl Sabara, 33, shared a seven-photo Instagram carousel that included a skin-to-skin shot of Trainor with the baby and an image of their sons Riley, 4, and Barry, 2, saying hello to their new sibling. In the joint caption they wrote, "We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name," and thanked their "incredible, superwoman surrogate" as well as the doctors and nurses who helped.

Sabara also posted images to his Instagram Stories, and the couple added, "We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all." Trainor had previously said in a February 2025 feature that she had always wanted a family and had hoped for daughters.
