Mewgenics tops Hades 2's Steam concurrent peak; lead eyes Megabonk

Mewgenics, the new roguelike tactical RPG from Tyler Glaiel and Edmund McMillen, reached a Steam concurrent player peak of 115,428, surpassing Hades 2's all-time record by more than 2,000 players.

Per SteamDB, that peak came just under a week after the game's initial launch. Glaiel noted in a Twitter post that Hades 2 had hit 112,947 players shortly after leaving Early Access.

The developers say they hope to topple more all-time roguelike rivals, and one lead described it as very "possible" that the hit Megabonk will fall next.
