World of Warcraft: Midnight's story campaign shows clear improvement in storytelling, especially in those optional "stay a while and listen" conversations. They’re small moments worth taking in whenever they appear. The Zul'Aman arc focuses on Lady Liadrin, who endured the Amani's worst impulses, and her begrudging alliance-turned-friendship with Zul'jarra.

Liadrin was tortured by Zul'jarra's grandfather, who we knocked over in the Zul'Aman raid years ago, and she now tries to steer Zul'jarra away from the anger and vengeance she once sought. With the Amani abandoned by the Loa, Zul'jan finds power in lightwood weapons—made possible by the surge caused by the Sunwell's weaponisation against Xal'atath—and raids the outskirts of Eversong for light-imbued kit.

He plays a heel to Zul'jarra throughout the questline, though their sibling bond is clear, and one monologue has players wondering if we’ll eventually have to knock Zul'jan over and claim his gear.

wow, midnight campaign, monologues, zul'aman, lady liadrin, zul'jarra, zul'jan, lightwood weapons, sunwell, eversong
