Milan face midfield question with Rabiot suspended for Lazio
Adrien Rabiot picked up a yellow card in the 80th minute of the Derby against Inter — a 1-0 win for Milan thanks to Estupinan — for a foul on Dumfries, with referee Doveri issuing the booking.
That booking rules him out of Milan's next Serie A match against Lazio, which will be played Sunday evening at 8:45 p.m. at the Stadio Olimpico.
His absence is significant: in six matches without Rabiot Milan managed only two wins, three draws and one defeat, averaging 1.5 points compared with 2.55 when he plays.
With Luka Modric and Youssouf Fofana set to start and Loftus-Cheek unavailable, the midfield spot is likely to go to either Jashari or Ricci. Jashari is in pole position for a starting place, while Ricci is pushing to return after a long injury lay-off.
