Milan, Juventus and Napoli target Nicolas Jackson as Bayern decline option
Bayern Munich will not exercise their option to redeem Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese striker made 24 appearances with seven goals and three assists under Vincent Kompany; Bayern spent €16 million on the summer loan but decided against the €65 million buy-back option, so he will return to Chelsea.
Chelsea plan to put Jackson back on the market, with priority given to a permanent transfer. It remains unclear what terms clubs will have to meet and how much of his €7.5 million salary the player might accept as a pay cut, given his contract runs until 30 June 2033.
Interest is already strong in Italy. Milan, Juventus and Napoli have all looked at Jackson before and are reported to be in pole position among Serie A clubs hoping to secure his services.
Jackson’s agent, Ali Barat, told Fabrizio Romano that a move to Italy would be welcome, leaving the summer — and the figures involved — to decide whether those clubs will be in the running.
