Minecraft Live returns March 21 with behind-the-scenes secrets and guests
Minecraft has announced its bi-annual showcase will take place on Saturday, March 21, and the trailer hints at an event worth watching. The announcement itself doesn’t reveal new content, but it promises the “scoop on game drops,” notable since Minecraft has not yet received its first drop of 2026.
The trailer leans into the Tiny Takeover drop, showing baby mobs such as a stampede of chicks through a village, a pod of baby dolphins in the water, and lambs causing havoc in open fields. There’s still no release date for the update, so the trailer may be teasing a drop that arrives before or during the stream.
Past streams have shared roadmap details and teases for upcoming updates, so Minecraft Live will likely outline the drop plan for the rest of 2026 and preview the next update if Tiny Takeover is out of the way. Last year’s second drop introduced the happy ghast and the locator bar, features that changed exploration for many players.
