Minions & Monsters Adds Jeff Bridges, Christoph Waltz and More

The Minions saga returns this year with Minions & Monsters, one of more than a dozen sequels coming out in 2026. Set in the 1920s, the film takes the characters back over 100 years in time.

There, the yellow-skinned, overall-wearing, cylinder-shaped beings will hunt monsters to cast in their own monster movie before those creatures are unleashed and wreak havoc on the planet.

Oscar-nominee Pierre Coffin, who directed the first three Despicable Me movies and the first Minions film from 2015, returns to the director's chair and will again provide the voices for the titular Minions.

Variety announced the first six cast members: Allison Janney, Jeff Bridges, Jesse Eisenberg, Christoph Waltz, Zoey Deutch and Bobby Moynihan. As of writing, none of the confirmed stars' roles in the movie have been revealed.
