Minnesota activists target Enterprise with booking-and-cancel anti-ICE campaign
Businessinsider: Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the latest company targeted by anti-ICE protests in Minnesota, after organizers urged people to "ICE OUT Enterprise" by reserving rental cars and then cancelling them to disrupt operations. A viral TikTok video posted Thursday showed protesters lined outside a Saint Paul Enterprise holding signs reading "No cars for ICE" and "Cancel ICE contracts now"; it had more than 323,000 views as of publication.
Organizers affiliated with the Sunrise Movement and Sunrise Twin Cities encouraged the tactic to draw attention and strain vehicle availability they say could be used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and asked participants to "please be polite to employees when you contact them." An Enterprise employee at a Saint Paul counter confirmed protesters had been calling the store but declined further comment; Enterprise did not respond to a request for comment.
The effort is part of a "week of actions" leading up to a "business blackout" on Friday. It's unclear if Enterprise has any contract with ICE.
